About the Project
The primary objectives of the Sharing Project are to create free mobile, desktop and web applications that:
- Inform donors about local non-profit organizations that accept gift-in-kind donations;
- Allow donors to advertise locally the gift-in-kind donations they are offering;
- Allow donees to advertise their needs to potential local donors;
- Maintain anonymity of donors and individual donees;
- Allow private communication between donors and donees;
- Give donors control over who receives their donation;
- Exclude for-profit commercial transactions.
A secondary objective of the Sharing Project is to make available to non-profit organizations the AI tool for donation sentiment analysis.
